What3Words: host.excellent.estuaries
We ask you to arrive some time after 5.30pm if you are staying over.
TRAIN: The best local station is NEWPORT (South Wales). There are always taxis at Newport and it is 22 miles from the Station to the farm.
An alternative is Abergavenny Station. Be aware there are rarely taxis at Abergavenny, so you’d have to prearrange a taxi. Generally, it’s cheaper to get off at Newport then take a taxi, than to go on to Abergavenny and then taxi. You will need the Trealy Farm Directions to give to the taxi driver. Or use What3Words: host.excellent.estuaries
BUS: Monmouthshire Route 60. Get off at Red House Farm stop which is a request stop. That is the bottom of the lane to the farm. Then you have to walk (0.8 miles, half of which is flat and half of which is uphill – up a stone driveway)
AIRPORTS: Cardiff is the closest, then Bristol, then Birmingham.
Birmingham Airport has a train to Chepstow then a bus to Monmouth – takes 2 hr 35 mins. See https://www.rome2rio.com/map/
For Cardiff / Bristol get a train to Newport or Abergavenny. There’s a bus from Newport or Abergavenny to end of road every two hours except on Sunday – always best to check as the timetables can change. Get off at Red House Farm stop which is a request stop. That is the bottom of the lane to the farm. Then you have to walk (0.8 miles, half of which is flat and half of which is uphill – up a stone driveway)
TAXI: Be aware there are always lots of taxis at Newport station but rarely at Abergavenny. It’s cheaper to get off at Newport then taxi than go on to Abergavenny then taxi. You will need the Trealy Farm Directions to give to the taxi driver. Or use What3Words: host.excellent.estuaries
HELP FINDING THE BEST ROUTE: Use rome2rio https://www.rome2rio.com/ and put in ‘Monmouth’ – it gives lots of options.
THE PAVILION: TRAINING ROOM, KITCHEN, BATHROOM
